Visitor Testimonials (267)

I've been visiting Manila for 3 days now, and this is likely the best meal I've eaten, so far. I liked the Bulgogi, rice, kimchi, and apple beer. I didn't care for the soup broth. The service was good.

Oppa-Ya: Your 24/7 Korean Food Spot in Poblacion Oppa-Ya has become a go-to spot in Poblacion, especially since it's open 24 hours. That means you can get your Korean food fix anytime, which is super handy. Let's talk about the BBQ: If you're going with friends, the unlimited BBQ is a fun choice. For 599 pesos, you can cook all the meat you want right at your table. They bring out a good variety of meats, like pork belly and marinated beef. What makes it even better are the side dishes, or "banchan." They have things like kimchi, pickled vegetables, and other small dishes that really add to the meal. They're fresh and tasty, not just thrown together. If you're not in a grilling mood: Oppa-Ya has other dishes too. I tried the Kimchi Bok Kum Bap, which is like kimchi fried rice. It was flavorful and filling. The Sweet Fried Chicken was also a hit. The chicken was crispy, and the sauce was a sweet and a little bit spicy. The portions are big, so you can definitely share with your friends. Why people keep coming back: * Open 24/7: This is a huge plus, especially in Poblacion, where people are out late. * Good food, big portions: You get your money's worth. The food is tasty, and they don't skimp on the servings. * Casual and friendly: It's a relaxed place, perfect for hanging out with friends or grabbing a late-night meal. Basically: Oppa-Ya is a solid choice for Korean food in Poblacion. Whether you're craving BBQ, fried rice, or chicken, you'll find something you like. And the fact that it's open 24 hours makes it a super convenient option.

OPPA-Ya is a must for impulsive Samgyup cravings at three in the morning. A very affordable Korean Barbecue restuarant nestled in the watering hole of Poblacion, its unassuming vibe gives off a taste of what true Korean barbecue places do look in the motherland. With generous portions of meat, side-dishes and top down service, I was surprised as well with the selections available. I am more than happy to return and satisfy my late-night, early-morning cravings back here — and probably order more jjangmyeon after.

Affordable no nonsense korean bbq experience. Meat quality is good, not fatty or stringy. Service is fast and ban chan tastes good (kim chi, cucumber, jap chae, fish cakes, steamed egg, onion in soy sauce). Ambience is a bit dark and not at all high-end, but if you are with great company, you won't notice it much. The restroom is surprisingly decent and clean too.

A great older Korean restaurant that has vegetarian meals as well. Good service and friendly staff plus they take card.
